Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of alopecia in males and females. Minoxidil finasteride are only FDA approved treatments for AGA. New including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) microneedling have shown promising results. The purpose this literature review to highlight recent studies examining effects topical minoxidil combined with PRP or monotherapy. method used paper include a systematic from 2010 2022 using PubMed, EMBASE, MEDLINE databases evaluating combination therapies Three randomized control trials compared + 5% either no treatment, minoxidil, only. Two found increased hair growth at five months six following therapy.
